Colony History: BALB/cHla®CVF®

Complete viral antibody profiles, gross pathology profiles, bacteriology profiles, growth charts, and blood chemistries are available.

Early Colony History:
  • Pre 1913 - Uncertain Ohio dealer
  • 1913 - Bagg
  • 1913-1922 - Little
  • 1922 - MacDowell
  • 1932 - Snell
  • 1935 - Adervont
  • 1951 - NIH
All colony histories contain some possiblity of inaccuracy. This information is being provided to the best of Hilltop's knowledge.

The coat color of the mouse is albino. The mouse is propagated by brother x sister mating. The colony at Hilltop is a closed colony and has been so since 1999. Closed colonies do develop qualities causing the rats to be uniquely suited to certain types of research.
